In a landmark ruling the Secretary of State upheld Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s objection to the building of 516 homes on land adjacent to Askham Bog near York. This is important for us because of the Secretary of State’s view that the development “would probably cause harm” to the Askham wildlife reserve.
