Green Space Survey

Horsham District Council has just launched an Open Spaces and Recreation Areas Survey into green space use within Horsham District. This follows the successful launch of our Rookwood Survey into how you would like to see Rookwood in the future,

If you value green spaces of any kind please take this opportunity to make your voice heard by HDC, the survey only takes about 5 minutes to complete.

Towards the end of the HDC survey is a free-form section where you can add comments on their Rookwood plans if you wish! 👍

Best wishes,

The Keep Rookwood Green Team

HDC Description of the Survey’s Purpose

A new online survey is underway seeking residents’ views about public open spaces, sports and recreation areas across the Horsham District. This includes allotments and play areas as well as natural areas of open space such as nature reserves.

The aim of our study is to seek to understand how open spaces are used now and to provide up-to-date local information about the quality and accessibility of our open spaces in the District.

The survey will run for 4 weeks from 8 June – 6 July 2020.

The outcomes of this study will help to set the standards for new high quality open spaces that are provided as part of any future development and will help to help ensure that future needs are understood as part of the Local Plan review. The published Assessment document will be made available on the Council’s Local Plan review pages in due course.
